Christian Education Ministry

Department Head: Minister Janice Brown

 Christian Education involves the administration and coordination of programs or strategies to facilitate the spiritual growth or discipleship of believers into Christ-likeness

The mission of the department is to educate and train our members and other in the body of Christ to be fully equipped in the Word and to raise awareness and provide training, information and support with a holistic approach to spiritual, physical, and emotional health.

Bible Study: Bishop Fullwood / First Lady Minister Idella Fullwood

The purpose of the Bible Study is to encourage members to embark on a systematic, Christ-centered study of the Word of God. Under the instruction of Bishop Fullwood and the Bible Study teaching staff, students will be challenged to seriously study the Bible, so that they will understand the personal message and promises them, and thereby be encouraged to live a victorious life in Christ.  

Youth Bible Study (Ages 5-8; Ages 9-12; Ages 13-17):  Minister Idella M. Fullwood

The purpose of the Children’s church is to the young children the Word of God various artistic means while their parents are attending Bible Study. There are three classes for YBS.  

Sunday School: Bro. Walter Best / Minister Sharon Lane

The mission of the Sunday School is to teach God’s Word to all ages with the aid of the Holy Spirit.  

Children’s Church (Ages 6-10): Minister Debra Prichard

The purpose of the YBS is to help children develop Godly attitudes and character qualities and to reinforce spiritual principles and Christian values in their lives while their parents are attending worship service.  

Vacation Bible School: Destiny Thomas

 Vacation Bible School is a summer week program to help children/adult grow in God's spirit, and to grow closer to Jesus.  VBS helps children discover the joy of being on God's team. There are outdoor sports/activities, arts/crafts, and learning new contemporary songs.

Education Ministry: Destiny Thomas

 The mission of the Education Ministry is to foster, encourage, and promote the educational, personal and spiritual growth and development of Mt. Pleasant students. Activities and programs which provide an opportunity for continuing educational enrichment for the general membership of the church are also sponsored. The Tutoring Program functions under this ministry. Tutoring purpose is to keep students interested in schoolwork, and learning; teach students that they have the responsibility to be accountable to God, their parents and those in authority.
