HELPS MINISTRIES DIVISION I

Department Head: Minister Ricky Cox

This department is made up of those ministries which are an extension of the Pastor and executes the vision of the Pastor with the Spirit of Excellence. The Helps Ministries consist of the following:

Armour Bearers Ministry: Minister Ricky & Lynn Cox

The Armour Bearer provides support for the Pastor and First Lady in caring for their temporal needs. They also provide transportation and relieve the burden of those tasks that take Bishop & First Lady Fullwood away from their primary purpose; teaching and preaching the Word of God.  Amour Bearers are selected by Bishop Fullwood.

New Members Fellowship Ministry: Minister Renee’ Goodman/Min. Janice Brown

The mission of the New Members Ministry is to welcome into the congregation persons who have decided to become member of Mt. Pleasant. They acquaint new members with various ministries in the church and encourage them to join the ministry of their choice. This ministry also includes New Members Fellowship Brunch.

Pastor‘s Aid Ministry: Mrs. Evelyn McCallop

The purpose of this ministry is to aid, help and assist the Pastor with needs defined by him. Robes, handkerchiefs and miscellaneous items are maintained to make his ministering easier.  Support is given through prayer and by whatever means necessary.

Flower Ministry: Mrs. Lillian Herring

The Flower Ministry’s purpose is to provide fresh and artificial flowers for the pulpit area, for special occasions and throughout the church. Corsages and boutonnieres are made upon request for other ministries.

Hospitality Ministry/Announcement Ministry:  Minister Sharon Lane

The purpose of the Hospitality Ministry is to greet visitors at the door, extend a welcome, and to acknowledge their visit by sending thank you cards. This ministry also assist as hosts for anniversaries and other special occasions. The purpose of the Announcement Ministry is to communicate the church’s agenda and inform the  congregation of any special service or activity.
