Ministry: Bro. Johnny Bennett, President
The
purpose and function of the Ushers’ Ministry is to meet,

enter the sanctuary. The Usher’s Ministry is an
extension of God’s hands to people. The Ministry of
Ushering is a personal representation of Jesus Christ who
meets people on a person-to-person basis when they first
arrive at Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church Ministries. Ushers serve as
watchmen, servants, disciplinarians and hosts of Mt. Pleasant.
Usher President: The usher president is
responsible to the pastor for maintaining order, discipline,
and the Spirit of Excellence in the Usher Ministry.
The president should have the pastor’s spirit, and to actively support the church and the community through
service and commitment. The usher's ministry will promote
unity, spiritual knowledge and stewardship.
At the Pastor ‘s pleasure, this may be the Deacon with the ushering
portfolio, or someone else raised up by God whose call to this
ministry is recognized by the leadership of the church. He
should be a member in good standing in the church, and have
ushering experience.

maintained during all special events.

parking availability and secure the church during Sunday
morning services, Tuesday night Bible Study/Prayer Meeting,
and special evening church services with an organized group of
church volunteers.

Johnny Bennett

among our church family through the serving of food at a
